It's a Panera Bread office kind of morning.

Then off to Toastmasters, Trader Joes, web dev work, then Econ class.

But the weather is perfect! I want to be at the beach...

What an awesome way to see the country...

There's nothing like a quick trip out of town to revitalize you. Bri and I drove down to Monterey last Saturday for what was originally going to be a scuba diving adventure. Unfortunately, Bri was a little sick and it's a big no-no to dive when you're congested.

Funny, though. On Saturday night when we were talking about how it sucks when plans have to change I said that you just have to have the attitude that you do the best with what life gives you. Sometimes good things happen, and sometimes bad things happen.

So what happens the next day? We serendipitously visit a small local deli, and the owner gives us free passes to the Monterey Bay Aquarium.

I love it when life happens like that.

Over the course of 3 days we hit up 7 breweries. I lost track of what beers were good, and what place was what. I think I should have taken notes.

We don't use them enough.

They have books. For free. I used to spend lots of money on books, and then lug them around whenever I moved. The vast majority of those books were never read more than once.

Why did I do this? Because I didn't use the amazing resource that we have - public libraries.

Random Tesla Roadster spotted in a parking lot in Marin today... first time I've seen one of these in real life. The car is tiny... came up to my chest. But looked like it would be sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet to drive.

I decided to run an extension cord outside today to experiment with working outdoors on my computer for several hours.

The view sure beats being inside.

I used Paint.net here and ran my photo through an oil painting filter, then adjusted the brightness and contrast levels a bit. I think it's a cool look.

The backyard walkway to where I was staying, crazy cat, a french bakery, a Japanese Zen coffee house, Mr. Jeff Glassberg himself, goofy Felipe, and the oh-so-gorgeous scenery of the California aqueduct along I-5.

This cat happened to be waiting for me when I arrived in LA yesterday. It might just be the skinniest cat I've ever seen. Like bones and fur that purrs.
